Artificial Pancreas Diabetes

Does Anyone knows about Diabetes?
Hi.. I am Juvenile Diabetic since last 20 years… And I am on Insulin 3 times a day.. is there anyone who has heard of some technology about an Artificial Pancreas outside the body.. Or anything else which is latest… i am tired of the insulin….
The artificial pancreas is a technology in development to help diabetic persons automatically control their blood glucose level by providing the substitute endocrine functionality of a healthy pancreas.
There are several important exocrine (digestive) and endocrine (hormonal) functions of the pancreas, but it is the lack of insulin production which is the motivation to develop a substitute. While the current state of insulin replacement therapy is appreciated for its life-saving capability, the task of manually managing the blood sugar level with insulin alone is arduous and inadequate.
The goal of the artificial pancreas is twofold:
1. to improve insulin replacement therapy until glycemic control is practically normal as evident by the avoidance of the complications of hyperglycemia, and
2. to ease the burden of therapy for the insulin-dependent.
Different approaches under consideration include:
* the medical equipment approach — using an insulin pump under closed loop control using real-time data from a continuous blood glucose sensor. This is emerging technology and will be the larger subject of this article.
* the bioengineering approach — the development of a bio-artificial pancreas consisting of a biocompatible sheet of encapsulated beta cells. When surgically implanted, the islet sheet will behave as the endocrine pancreas and will be viable for years.
* the gene therapy approach — the therapeutic infection of a diabetic person by a genetically engineered virus which causes a DNA change of intestinal cells to become insulin-producing cells.
Dealing With Children Who Have Diabetes Type 1
It is great challenge to live with children who have diabetes, no matter what is the age of the child, but young children and adolescence frequently have particular issues in dealing with it. Young children might not be aware of the necessity of blood samples as well as the insulin injections. They can be afraid, angry and not cooperative.
Young adults may feel dissimilar from their equal young adults and they might like to live an impulsive lifestyle than their diabetes permits. Even if they devotedly follow the medication schedule, young adults having Child Diabetes can feel perturbed when the normal young body transforms during teenage years might make their illness rather difficult to control.
It is overwhelming sometimes if you have a child with diabetes, but you are not the only one. The diabetes care group of your child is not only a big source in dealing with the control of blood sugar and medical concerns but also in supporting and assisting your child and yourself live and deal with diabetes.
Researchers and doctors are making new equipments and healing to assist Child Diabetes deal with specific problems of living with diabetes. Several kids and young adults are already making use of devices that do blood glucose tests and also insulin injections less painful, more effective and easier. The most popular device is the insulin pump, a device which is utilized to distribute insulin more similar to what the pancreas is doing. There also some progress in the development of implantable or wearable “artificial pancreas”. This device is composed of insulin pump attached to a device which measures the blood sugar level continuously.
Scientists and doctors are investigating also a possible treatment for diabetes. This entails the transplant of insulin -producing cells inside the body of a diabetic patient. Researchers are testing also some ways to end diabetes before it begins. For instance, scientists are studying if diabetes can be avoided in those patients who have hereditary increased danger for the ailment.
Until scientists have found ideal means to treat better or even possibly prevent or cure diabetes, parents may help their children lead cheerful and healthier lives through constant support, having proper information about diabetes and ensure that their kids eat properly, exercise regularly and keep the blood sugar controlled every day. In doing these, the kids can be able to do things which other kids do and at the same time help them to grow up to be well fit, well adjusted and productive adults.
Children and young adults with diabetes must monitor and control their blood sugar level through the following:
